HBA member Homes of Hope, a nonprofit organization that builds homes for low-income families, unveiled plans to build two energy-efficient, affordable homes for two families at the poverty line. The initiative, called LoCal Housing, will provide long-term housing that will appreciate in value. In addition, the program will provide job training for workers on the job site. The homes will be LEED certified.

Homes of Hope announced that Quinn Satterfield will construct two new single family homes on Gower Street in West Greenville. The project is being funded by Resurgent Capital Services, an international manager of consumer debt portfolios.
The homes will be 1,208 square feet. One will be rented for $595 per month, the other will be sold for $99,900.
Homes of Hope is a charity that works to meet the needs of low-income families through rental and home ownership opportunities. Its objective in West Greenville is to diversify and strengthen the community through housing opportunities.
