Formed in 2014, the Sales & Marketing Council of the Upstate is affiliated with the Home Builders Association of Greenville (HBA). From educational training to the interchange of ideas, networking and recognition, the SMC supports new home sales and marketing professionals.

Why Join?

Networking.The Sales and Marketing Council offers the perfect environment for networking with other professionals in the home building industry.

Continuing Education. From trained speakers and special seminars to workshops and other educational programs, the Sales and Marketing Council of the Upstate offers ongoing continuing education for its members. As a member, you will receive the most up-to-date, pertinent information in the industry.

Professional Development. The Sales and Marketing Council of the Upstate provides its members an effective forum for the exchange of ideas with local, regional, and national experts in the sale and marketing of new homes.

Marketing Assistance. The SMC provides marketing support to its members through its affiliation with the Home Builders Association of Greenville in the form of online directory advertising, recognition of excellence, and business-to-consumer programs like the Parade of Homes and Southern Home and Garden Show. Members also receive sales and marketing tips through a monthly newsletter and the exchange of ideas with other council members.

Recognition. The SMC recognizes member’s professional achievements in sales and marketing excellence through our affiliation with the annual Bridge Awards.

Access to Industry News & Trends. Council members have exclusive access to housing industry news and relevant trends pertaining to the sales and marketing of new home construction. News is distributed through a monthly SMC newsletter and twice-monthly HBA newsletter.

Members Only Events. From after-hour socials to membership meetings and educational seminars, our events are open to all SMC members and offer the opportunity to network with other industry professionals.
