This week’s Featured Bridge Award, presented by GBS Building Supply, is in the Craftsmanship Category, New Home.  Ryan Homes’ project on Carrollton Court won the Bridge Award in the $250,000 to $500,000 price range.

Milestone Custom Homes will build the model home and welcome center at Hartness

Milestone Custom Homes will construct the welcome center and model home in the new Hartness Community on the east side of Greenville. Milestone is one of four Approved Professional Builders in the Hartness Builder’s Guild, which includes Hollison Custom Homes, Dillard-Jones Builders, and Stoneledge Properties.

The Hartness Community is a 440 acre development near SC14 and Roper Mountain Road.  The community will feature 180 acres of green space, 15 miles of trails connecting woodlands, lakes, streams, wildlife and shared recreational areas. Also included will be a clubhouse and wellness center, a resort-styled swimming pool, and a sports garden.

Keith Smith Builders Profiled by Cabinet Makers Association

Keith Smith, APB, founder and President of Keith Smith Builders, and his team were profiled by Cabinet Makers Association in their recent Winter publication.
Keith credits his involvement in the Home Builders Association as one of the investments he has made that has helped him grow his business since founding Keith Smith Builders in 1970. 
Keith was President of the Home Builders Association of Greenville in 2003.  He was President of the Home Builders Association of South Carolina in 2007.  Keith also is a Life Director of the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builders Association of South Carolina.
Keith currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cabinet Makers Association as a Director-At-Large.
Keith Smith Builders is an Approved Professional Builder member of the Home Builders Association of Greenville.  They specialize in custom home building, remodeling, light commercial contracting, and of course they operate a cabinetry shop in downtown Greer.

Your Home Builders Association offers our condolences to Brad Thompson, First Choice Custom Homes, on the loss of his mother.

Nancy Wagner Thompson , 81, of Harrisburg passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 24, 1936 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Victor Burton Wagner and Katie Fay Honbaier Wagner.

She worked as a secretary for the housing department at UNCC. Nancy was a member of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church. She was a certified hospice volunteer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Tyler Thompson.

Left to cherish her memory is sons William Lee Thompson (Donna) of Honea Path, SC and Brad Thompson (Cindy) of Greenville, SC, daughters Vicki McClamrock (Randy) of Mooresville and Karen Morrison (Jay) of Concord, sister Carolyn Wagner of Salisbury, nine grandchildren Jessica Overcash, Anthony Thompson, Matthew McClamrock, Adam Thompson, Adair Thompson, Andrew Thompson, Katie Morrison, Jake Morrison and Ava Morrison, three great grandchildren Chloe Overcash, Callie Overcash and Wyatt McClamrock.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Noles, Charlie Bowling, Anthony Thompson, Adam Thompson, Andrew Thompson and Matthew McClamrock.

Visitation: 10:00- 11:00 AM Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, 25 Hwy.49 S., Concord, NC 28025.

Service: 11:00 AM Thursday May 4 at the church with Rev. Mike Johnston and Rev. Rodney Navey officiaiting.

Burial: 1:00 PM at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Road, Salisbury, NC 28144.
