It was a great day out on the links last Thursday at the 2014 Golf Classic sponsored by Stock Building Supply with Piedmont Natural Gas as presenting sponsor. The Golf Classic is Captain’s Choice Format and begun with a Shotgun Start at 11:30 am held at the Preserve at Verdae. Thirty two teams played in the captain’s choice-format tournament. The winning team, sponsored by Carolina Fresh Farms, split $400 and bragging rights until next year.The Awards Dinner, sponsored by Deckstore, included some great prizes including a Grill and Bistro Set- both courtesy of the Southern Home and Garden show. Along with a home theater sound system courtesy of the Southern Home and Garden Show and Charter Media. There was a also a set of adorandack chairs courtesy of the Overholt Wood N Craft along with many other great prizes.
